1.depression is not forever. yes, I have been depressed before (4 years.) the first major step is wanting to change & start living your life instead of (oh wo is me) 24/7.

2. 99.99% of the time I have no idea what I’m doing, & I’ve learned that it’s ok not to know your next step (especially after high school.) so don’t ask me what I’m doing after high school(; (no fucking clue)

3.coconut everything (expect coconut water.) this includes shampoo; conditioner, chapstick, lotion & hand soap. (might have an unhealthy obsession)

4.ubuntu (n.) “i am what I am because of who we all are” compassion, kindness and humanity that connect us together by sharing ourselves with other and caring for those around us. ((one of my absolute favorite words)

5.a small amount of close friends is better than a ton of “friends.”

6.never think a t.v. show, movie, or video game is more worth watching than nature. don’t get too caught up in modern technology that you forget about the wonderful world that we are so blessed to live in. take a moment out of every day to appreciate the world you live in.

14.be thankful. stop complaining. this took me a while to learn. but thinking about what I have compared to kids in africa really opened my eyes. they find joy in kicking a soccer ball and dancing with no shoes on, I think you can live without that new shirt in pacsun.

57. loving others is important, but loving yourself is a bigger step. how do u expect to love someone if you don’t love yourself?
